Anna Sazhina

Anna Sazhina was born in Irkutsk, Siberia, Russia. Growing up, dance was always one of her dreams and she always imagined herself as a ballerina. At the age of 12, Anna made her first step on the way to her dream and began dancing with the dancing club “Lotus”. At the age of 18, she went to Slovenia to finish her education where, despite her school commitments, she still found time to practice her dancing. After graduating, Anna started work at one of the biggest insurance companies of Azerbaijan. In Baku, she met Eldar and they started dancing together.

Eldar Dzhafarov

Eldar Dzhafarov was born in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He started dancing at the age of 7 in primary school. He later attended the dancing club, Let’s Dance, where he started his professional career. After finishing the third course of the University of Economics he decided to move to Italy, to the school of Jerry Abrate and Caterina Arzenton, to continue his dance education. However, in Italy he had a hard time finding a good dance partner and even thought about leaving dance. Fortunately on a trip to Baku in January 2005 Eldar met Anna. They started dating and after a few days he asked Anna to become his dancing partner and the rest is history!

Couple's Career Highlights

Eldar and Anna have been competing together since 2005. Some of their titles include: World Championship Professional 10 Dance Champions, European Championship Professional 10 Dance Champions, Blackpool Professional Standard Semi Finalists, and UK Open Professional Standard Semi Finalists. They currently compete together for Azerbaijan.
